It’s winter, and our skin can sometimes get dry and itchy. I’m can’t wait for the warmer weather but in the meantime it’s nice to find ways to take some time for skin care. Sugar scrubs are a nice way to moisturize the skin and it’s simple with just a few added ingredients. You can also use different scents as well.
It’s not only a great at home spa treat that you can make for yourself and your family but would also make a sweet gift for a friend or loved one, or anyone!
This Coconut Lime Moisturizing Sugar Scrub will leave your skin smooth and moisturized while smelling like the tropics!
½ Cup Sugar
½ Cup Coconut Oil
10 Drops Lime Essential Oil
(Double for a larger batch)
Simply just add all your sugar scrub ingredients and mix together in a bowl untill desired consistency for your scrub, then go ahead and transfer to a jar with a lid. This scrub can last a few months.
I love to put a small container of this Scrub beside the sink in my bathroom to quickly moisturize my hands, and a larger container beside my shower/bathtub for the rest of my body…especially my feet, elbows and knees!
All you have to do is wet your skin, rub a small amount of the sugar scrub into your skin, and rinse. The sugar helps exfoliate your skin while the coconut oil moisturizes and helps regenerate your skin cells. The lime essential oil acts as an antioxidant. It also is a great insect repellent!
I hope you enjoy this sugar scrub recipe as much as I do!
